Default S13 strut brace fitting?

Im going to buy one whatever as i know they can be made to fit but just fancied a bit more info. My old brace doesnt fit over my det so i need to get a new brace. I have been told the s13 ones need to be shortened to fit the s12 but the strutt mounts are in the correct place. Any further info? Is the adjustment bolt not enough on its own to get it the right length? If it needs to be cut etc it will need welding and re-chroming/polishing i assume. .

Yep - I'd go with that - Can't see any welds in the main brace, but it could have been done at the ends, and hard to tell? - I do know Simon modified it slightly, but this could have just been a longer length adjuster?

If you like, I'll take some close-up pics of it tomorrow night, in order to give you a better idea of what's different?

I tried to fit Richie's S13 cusco brace and it was about 4" too wide.
