I'm usually the lazy type...so I go with a rougher sand paper.
220 grit..preferably wetsand. Then move up to 400, then 600, then 800, then 1000 and then finish it with 1200. All wet. That's if you want it perfect. If you just wanna do a quick job...you can do maybe 220, 600 and then finish with 800 or 1000
