Well its all back together now. I got the 1.9mm cometic gasket on Saturday in the post and fitted it today. The car ran like crap for a bit and i thought my valves were hitting for a second and i had a hot flush . Turned out to be a dry hydraulic tappit from when i had stripped it down for cleaning and skimming.
The car now runs well.It feels completely different. It feels less torquey at pull away but it spools up faster and feels like it breathes better which is all to be expected. Shame my t3 turbo is a load of rubbish though. I noticed today theres a bit of the turbine missing on one of the props where my head gasket decided to make a swift exit.It was smoking anyway.Hopefully i can save some pocket money up for a hybrid t3 in a months time

The respray is going to have to wait until after jae. The turbo has given up for good. I have just found a second hand one that will do me for a while ok so moneys gone on that rather than paint.I also changed my plugs etc and it seems to run better. Maybe if i get it running really nice il put it on the thor rolling road at jae. Not if its £££ though. Any idea what its been in the past for just a power run?
