I've got a big intercooler of unknown origin front mounted on mine, mounted where the radiator was with the radiator on a custom made mount behind. It's still awaiting pipe work but I've still got the mechanical fan but without the cowl so there is space if you want to keep the original radiator.

I just used some of the original volvo piping and some samco. You can use scrapyard rubber if you can find it.

This is a photo of the radiator with the intercoler in front, it's actually larger than the radiator and as I said it just needs some pipe work, I haven't made up my mind weather to go to the scrappies or make some up myself yet or rather my pocket hasn't.

Id be interested to see pics or your setup as it sounds simillar to mine except i am using electric twin 12" kenlo fans and there like huricanes

Pics would also help others to get ideas

I could do but i left em open.

I think they only occupy a small amount of the core, and anyway you want an oil cooler to be cooled by something cooler than hot water.
