I saw on Bluepeter that you can make a 1 penny piece all shiney from putting it in coke lol...so your idea must work. I would rather use WD-40 instead though hehe.

It's the same as using a potato cut in half and rubb it onto your windscrean and it will repel water as a temorary fix, egg in a hot rad to block a leak and a water and bicarbonate of soda paste will remove tar ect from you paint work.

I tried the coke with rusted bolt trick but it didnt work but I use coke with aluminium foil to clean the bumpers on my Viva. Pour the coke onto the chrome and use the foil to rub it in. I bet its the best chrome cleaner you have ever used. (or your money back)

coke's cleaning properties come from its ph...
anyone remember the experiment at school where you put a tooth in the stuff and left it for a week? at the end of the week the tooth was gone because the acid in the coke had dissolved it... draw your own conclusions from this ![]() |
