Default auto 2 man!!

Can any 1 help?? On the auto box loom there r 4 wires and on the man box there r 3,1 will b 4 reverse, but will the car run with them disconected?? and on a different tread uv said disconect the TPS, wots 1 of those?? and where is the auto box ecu??

yeah just connect the reverse light. tps - throttle position sensor on the throttle body. the ecu is in the passenger footwell to the left under the dash

can i just use the manual tps? i know the auto 1 has an extra plug?? and do i have 2 change the ecu?? i got a few ecu's, but for my mk1?

Chaange the ECU and you have to change the Auto ECU which is inside the Nearside/offisde 1/4 panel. Access can be gained by taking out the rear speaker. You can use the same Throttle position sensor TPS just disconnect the second plug which is for Full acceleration. Remember to take out the brass collar when you change to the Manual flywheel it sits in the middle of the crank!.

When u say change the ecu in the back.do u mean just disconect it or will my mk1 manual have an ecu in the back 2?? ta

Change the Normal ECU (auto one) in the car for the manual one, then disconenct the ecu thats in the rear 1/4 panel which is for the Auto tranny.
