Looking very clean With some mint rear lights she will look even better.. A fibreglass copy rear spoiler would be a good idea i think

Default Starting problems!

Well I went to start the car this morning and it didn't want to go! So I whipped out the Ecu and it gave the Water temp sensor. Upon checking it, I found that the connector was half missing and the contacts were rotten. Also as I pulled it off, I found one of the wires had been soldered before and snapped. So I fixed it using a decent Injector connector I had lying around and soldered the joints good and proper, job done!. I also took off the Coil and cleaned up all the wires and metal joints and added another Negative wire to the inner body. These are really prone to corrotion! No more starting problems.

Just had a look at the rear pads and OMG they were on the wafer Thin side. Good job I had a spare set lying around. To my amazement, I found that the rear calipers are Reconditioned units. Still got the stuff they put on them to stop the Rust !. Right result

Shame Rich isn't into the events any more - He's a good bloke, and a right laugh! - also helped me out a few times with bits, stickers etc... (Though he still owes me for a stereo, the scally! lol! )

Angry Smoking like a trooper !!!

Well I thought it was too goo to last. Yesterday morning on the way home from work my Auto started smoking like a trooper whilst sat at a roundabout. Well today I did a compression check and all was OK 150 in each pot. Next was the Tubby fine no leaks. I've only done 1k since I started this thread so I was stumped. I took off the tubby to find no.4 exhaust was full of oil! I called the God and we thought maybe rings or HG so Off came the head.
Well on close examination of the head you won't believe what I found. The valve stem oil seal on No.4 exhaust valve was just popping up and down and had not been fitted properly. Well I could not believe it, it was amazing how much smoke could be caused by One valve. Anyways after frantic calling round, I got the head skimmed and will refit it tomorrow.

The moral of the story 'Dont *ucking trust anyone to do a good job !'
