For now i will stay with my Civic.

I cant beleive what ive read here

I saw what i thought was you pull out the services and saw that you started following me so as i got up near the breakers i started slowing down so you could catch up but you never did and i lost sight of you Thats when i thought that couldnt have been you and carried on with my evening.

I had this exact accident when i had my rs turbo and that flipped open at 85mph and i span 3 times and landed in between 2 lamp posts, so well done claire for hanging on, its a bumpy ride with that wind against a bonnet thats folded round your windscreen.

By what i can see from the pictures it hasnt damaged the top part of your roof has it??

First thing that i thought when it happened was shit were going to lose it and spin as i remembered your story. were dam lucky that it happened there and not down a country twisty road or on the motorway on the outside lane.... I thought i saw you slowing down but seconds after it was game over .

Yeah it couldve been a lot worse, could have wrote off my car and now be looking for a silvia as a replacement.

The windscreen is getting fixed now the rest should be done after xmas. Thinking of getting some bad boy extensions on my bonnet but not sure yet.

The roof has a couple of small dents but my 'halfords' metal washer jets saved the roof from caving in. This is the first time you will hear me say this but 'thankgod for Halfords'.

Nasty!

Never had a bonnet fly open before, had the drivers side windscreen wiper fly off on the motorway miles from home in the pissing rain though!

Sounds like a nasty night, glad your both ok though
