If you do want to go down that road I've got a nearly new standard back box that you can have for free if you can pick it up?
Only thing is that it'll need a short section welding on where it joins the system as the previous owner chopped it off to fit the one that was made out of rice crispies!  I can post some pic's tonight if your interested I'm in Leighton Buzzard BTW

thanks for all the help,
i'm going to give the guy another call today, we left it that i was going to price up all the work and parts and get back to him mid week. all going well i should get the car for sensible money but if not ill keep looking and maybe come back at mot time to see if he's changed his mind. problem is if i pay what he wants then add the cost of sorting it i could buy an s13 with tax and mot... would much prefer an s12 though... lots on ebay this week too cheers

double posting... like turning up to the party to early... not so cool... but hey...
i've decided this silvia is not for me  just to much work in one hit to make it viable. if it was canery cheep then i would, but the guy has a good car and no way can i get it at a price that gives me the spare cash to be fixing it up... on the plus side i did give hime the club site address and he seemed pretty keen, so maybe we have another member on the way... cheers for the help... still looking...
