pulleys aint a prob as ive got new mk1 and mk2 belts. im putting mk2 head on mk1 bottom, how will i get this to work

mk1 and 1.5 have got mechanical valve system mk2 hydraulic ones, right?

wrong Alundra.


As dr_silvia has just pointed out the pullies are different including the bottom pully but they are all interchangable

if your putting a mk2 head on a mk1 bottom, then you should have no probs, as all the differences i.e pullys and oil feed pipe are all on the bottom end, tis just you have to keep the mk1 turbo pipes.

I bought a mk2 head from canada it has got hydrolic valves system retainer don't know the right word, sorry):



What i had on my car mk1.5 -mk2 lift, no rev limiter- with mecanical clearance system:



The pulleys are the same.

What do you think about that?
