shaun's just read it, the only couple of things i can slate SE for are, not putting a paddle clutch in when i asked for one, the six months it took them to get my forgies from america, more like a slow boat from china, taking so long to do the job and not wanting to speak to me when they had most of my money oh and no porting, well not any that would make any differece , the rest of the engine was well sorted, it must have been to stay together for so long 38k and still got the honing marks, mind you i do look after the damn thing, new plugs, new oil filter, castrol rs 10/60 every 3 months from new, never fail.

I think this thread started after that member came on...

My head was ported and polished like he said. Just not by much pmsl...

My major issue was TIME. Fuck me it took years to get him to do stuff in the end.

Yes you had the same intercooler setup that i have on my other s12 using a cosworth intercooler. It does the job and i guess at least they made an off the shelf kit to make things easy for owners. The intercooler location was not the best though and the cooler mounting wasnt really good enough, my pipework moved about a bit and sometimes rubbed on the alternater pully..

Peoples number one gripe was Time and customer service as Martin says... some of there parts were good and have made a good inpact on owning the s12

some bits were done b4 i owned mine and some after.

mine has :-

rear beam decamber
rear beam bushes (uprated)
cossie intercooler kit
front splitter
rear boot spoiler

pos a few others cant remember. all seems to fit ok, cant complain to much, never had any machine work done, so i never really had to phone. i spoke to pete a few times for some advice, and always found he helped me beyond what he really needed to, a few of the others that gave advice may have well had the phone down there pants and talked b*ll*cks. so in all my own experience of Pete R personally was good. just his staff let him down big time.

in my honest opinion, as with other companies, they just get greedy, they don't give a flying feck unless you have thousands to spend on an evo , skyline, etc, etc, you know its true, the s12 is not a money earner for them, the s13 only earns money cos of the drifting, the big boys like the supra and skylines earn the money cos of the drag scene, scoobies and evo's cos the rally scene , we will soon be forgoten if we are not carefull i think at JAE 2006 we should get in touch with thor and one of the jap mags , so we get a feature on the main evevt, NO SHERKERS, lets show them that us s12 owners have what it takes, lets get it toghether on the same days, to you new enthusiasts, i might seem like an old fuddy duddy, but prove me wrong and do me proud, and dennis evans, who inspired me to tune the s12.
