Default CA18ET into another car

Hi Has anybody out there put the 1800 turbo into a diffrent car?
What i am after is how to wire up the ECU.
My 1800 is in a 1960 ford Anglia fits really well with the box and should blow away those Xflows at about 1/4 of the price,
So if anyone out there can help me it would be of great help.
many thanks Alan

Found this site through the wonderful world of Google. I see AA AlanAnglia is also planning the same conversion as me.

Alan - have you any pictures of the conversion ? how far have you got with it?

I've just picked this up to go in my Anglia estate

Concerned about where the gearbox lever is gonna come out

And a picture of the car it's off in

Now i've managed to find most stuff on the web but could do with a manual fly wheel and a starter motor - think thats all i'm missing. I have a full loom although this is out of the auto car and i've got the manual box (is this gonna cause any issues ?)

I can't trial fit the engine yet as I need to cut the front panel off first and I dont want to do that just yet as it's a bit rotten and I need to put some strength in it - but when I do i'll post some pictures to show. I've measured and measured and fairly confident I can get the thing in

Any help along the way would be greatly appreciated --

Default turbo into Anglia

Hi I have hade the engine sitting in the engine bay and fits very well, not too sure about engine mount yet as they sit rather low.
Gearstick comes out just infront of the hand brake which looks okay.
I have done coilovers on the front and discs on the rear (i can supply brackets if you want them)
I have spent the last 6 weeks welding the underneath which wasn't bad but but I am a bit slow, now all undersealed and should be back on its wheels this weekend.
If we could swap any info that would be good for us both.
I do have a spare flywheel as I do have a spare engine now.
email me direct if you like [email protected]

I have converted a auto silvia into a manual and the only difference i found was the neutral/park sensor, basically a safety device meaning the engine cant be started in a drive gear on the auto box/shifter, all i did was wire it to a switch and it can then also become a discreet immobiliser.

Thats a cracking idea - thanks for that. I've now got the engine fitted (fits a treat) so just need to make some mounts and sort the wiring out.
