Default What's the difference..

Sorry for the stupid question but what is the difference between the mk1 & mk2 Silvia? Also what is the best dump valve to use with s12 (one that will hols around 20psi)

mk1s usually have the black and orange seats the mk2 had different trimmed seats and doorpanels in varying colours also bigger bumpers,different arch spats,grille and sidelights,a rev limiter,different gearbox,the bonnets different and a few other minor things too

Oh right take it there was different years for the mk1 & mk2 (being the later ones), guess i have a mk2. Rev limter that sucks... how do i get rid of that?

why would you want to get rid of the rev limiter it only kicks in at about 6800rpm or so and you wont be making any more power reving it that high on a 8valve unless you have a mssive turbo........i have mine set between 6 & 6.2k
but to get rid of it all you need to do is fit a mk1 ecu

Oh right that's ok then (thout it might have been like my mate's limter on his bmw... crap) 6800rpm is fine, most of the time i shift up around 5000rpm.

Could you give more detailed info/specs on the differences especially looking on the technichal ones as gearbox arches etc.?
coul someone maybe post up some pics of the exterior differences of MK1 MK2?
