Default front metal trim?

does anyone know whether the metal trim that sits above the front bumper and bolts between both wings is any different on the mk1 or mk 2?

i think you can still use the mk2 strip with mk1 front bumper, but i dont know about the splitter, do you mean the mk2 SE spllitter, or just the mk2 std splitter.

it would just be the standard one, i took my front end off last night and found a lot of bodge jobs when it must have been damaged, the bottom of the bumper has been cracked at the bottom right, the front splitter has been screwed through to hold it on and also the front spats screwed through to keep them on......... it would have been easier for the guy just to fit it properly. also the front metal trim has a bit of corrosion.

i am just trying to find out what fits and look into maybe getting a gd condition front end be it mk1 or 2
