Default Search info of S15 helical diff

I search for a diff for grip on track (1wd sometimes is awful...).

What about to fit a S15 R200 diff? Who tried and left it?

Who know similar diff fitted on 4x4 Nissan car?

Cheers.

you should be able to fit it into the s12 casing. You would need to use s14a or s15 halfshafts and then modify up some bolts/buses to fit the s12 crownwheel to the diff as the fixings are different sizes.

There quite expensive after all the messing about i should imagine.

quaiffe/kaaz etc all do r200 diffs.

i take it you dont want to use a vlsd from the s13/s14.(buy far the cheapest option)

I thought the S15 shafts were different to the s14a shafts?

What needs to be done to bolt the S12 ring gear to the S15 unit then, can't you use the original S12 bolts?

ive been told that the s14 and s14a shafts were different. The s14a are compatable. I guess youd have to take the s15 diff with you and test them before you pay for them. If not its just cough up for s15 ones....

The holes in the s15 diff are larger diameter so bushes need to be turned up to take up the play. or you could drill out and tap the crownwheel i suppose

This is all just info that i have read from different places, its not first hand knowledge

The differences with the crownwheel bolts are the same with the S13 install into the S12 if i remember correctly. Been 2 years since I did it but I do remember something like that.

I was under the impression that you have to use S15 shafts with the helical diff, judging by some people searching for S15 shafts on sxoc.

Thing is, they're overpriced. There is an S15 diff on sxoc for sale at £450 which is silly when a quaife would only cost £100odd more
