Volvo intercoolers
The Isuzu intercooler I have is a right pain to fit and it will move the rad back into the power steering pipes (it's rather thick).
I know volvo 940 intercoolers (inlet and outlet in the middle on each side) will fit as I put one in my last S12, but will the 740 one fit (inlet and outlet at the top on each side), again I know these fit S13 but I'm not sure about in the S12, anyone got one of these fitted?? Or has anyone got any cheapo intercooler options - I'm strapped for cash |

I used the 740 radiator with the 740 intercooler. There is also a pipe that you can use from the volvo to meet up to the throttle body with the slow running pipe and some have an injector boss there too:
You'll also need a thermostat housing from a bluebird turbo to work with the rad. Cable ties are optional though

Would the S12 rad not fit inbetween the intercooler inlet and outlet?
Seen an 740 intercooler for sale put it ain't got a rad with it. |

Not sure to be honest but I don't think the intercooler is wide enough. Could be wrong though.
I still have the intercooler and rad spare, but was contemplating using them briefly on my car as its not intercooled at the moment. I've got a proper Jap style intercooler but am not planning to pipe it up with samco at £25 a piece when the 2nd engine I will use at the end of the year has a top mount turbo and different inlet

Well you know where I am if you want rid of it
I presume a elecy fan is a must with that set up as well. I will go home open my bonnet, take the lap top out and guesstimate whether an intercooler will fit with the stock rad. |
