S12's are seen on driftworks as a cheap drift hack. The posers with the handbags like to spend over the odds on their JDM tyte yo S13/14/15's, they'll just turn their nose up at an S12.

I'm sure we all bought the S12's back in the day because they were cheap fun cars. Can't really get better performance for the money

I really hope they get this off the ground, I'd love to go thrash someone elses car round teeside autodrome!!
I've read some of the comments peeps have to say on driftworks and I don't get it at all, they get hard over AE86 Truenos but s%&t on s12's In fact I'm sure when Kenny posted pics up of his s12 on Japnortheast not too long ago someone actually said 'nice AE86, classic'

Default Value of these cars - love them or hate them

HI,

I feel the value of these cars is based on a love / hate relationship....i think they are great so would pay up to £5k for the right car however if you are worried about getting your money back at the end of the day then thats another story as you are guaranteed to loose out unless they get to AE86 status.

Thanks

Absolutely spot on .
You will probably struggle trying to sell a 20 year old modified car through an advert in your local paper (where "joe-public" is looking for a bargain).
But advertise the motor on a relevant owners site and you shouldn`t have a problem .
When I first bought my s12, it had a blown head gasket, knackered turbo and 136,000 miles on the clock. But I knew the guy that had it from new, it had been regularly serviced (before the gasket and turbo blew), it was almost rust free, had never been raced and had been undersealed properly. For me this was worth an extra £200 on the value of the car.
Regards,
Ian.
