Default sr20det....prolly been asked before

ok bear with me......its prolly been asked before a million times, but how much hassle would a sr20 swop be? are we talking a load of heartache? i know anything can be done with the right amount of money, but is it possible to do it t home?

sr20 has been done b4 mate, not sure if its been done over hear, but it should not be much more hassle than putting the ca18det in, i'am sure ratdat once told me that it was an easier job than the fitting the ca18det in.

ive been trying to find info on it, but struggling......... if its not too much of a job i fancy having a go, and getting a mate to do the wiring.

what sort of power are you looking for ? and what sort of price are you wanting to pay fot an s12 ? i only ask this because after buying the car and all the hassle of the conversion, you still could buy the 2 tone one from stephanie, which has everything done on it and if you wanted big power, you could put a lot bigger turbo on than the t3, t34 would go straight on, then just get it remapped, should be good for about 370bhp with std rods and forged pistons.

the chap on race silvia has an sr. he used s14 box aswell though but said the mounts looked very similar. worth a look

well i was more think bout buying a second silvia and slowly building it up over a year or so.......... buying things as i can afford them............ i shall look at the racesilvia site
