the short shifter wont work, the s13 short shifter will work if you have a mk2 box if i remember rightly.
The headlights will work if you get the s13 ones but as there from the states and designed for left hand drive use they will light up the right hand side of the road, blinding other road users instead of lighting up the curbside |

haha. thank you. Im not sure if you mean the s12 or the datsun. the s12 is not mine anymore its jackiefans who is giving it a new lease of life as a track car. And i cant take any credit for the datsun yet as i have not carried out the current work that has been done to it. Although i have been buying lots of things for it recently and have loads of things to do to it.
The headlights in the second link should fit. You need to check if the dip beam is on the correct side of the road. I had the exact same lights. Search crystal headlights on the forum search button, Mine did not have a dip angle they were just leval across but lower on main beam.Which was perfectly fine,Its only a problem if its dipped the wrong way. The top shifter linkage wont work with the mk1 gearbox,Only the mk2 box as the selectors are slightly different between the mk's. To be honest, I prefer the mk1 box and just cut the shifter down a few inches and fitted an aftermarket gear nob that uses grub screw fittings. This was absolutely perfect. You dont want to be shifting a syncro gearbox that fast anyway. It does them no good. Congrats on getting the car. I saw it on there and it looks very nice.Rpettafor on here has a similar mk1 that he has done a few bits too. welcome to s12oc
