Default Air box.

Hi guys I thought you might be interested to see this. I just made an air filter partition housing for my S12 project drift car, complete with purspex windows. It was a bit tricky to make due to the intercooler pipe work running through that area. (several mild steel prototypes were scrapped)
I am happy with it now, and it should do its job well, I hope.

Coilovers are on, so track day very soon. Keep an eye out for some photo's of her sideways and maybe a video clip also.

They are from a plastic S13 headlight conversion which I got cheep & modified to fit the S12 tin lids. Here are some pics to see how it went together. They have some strobes in them too!!
I cut some square holes in the lids then cut the overhang of the plastic off, screwed it to the lid with some no nails stuff between. Loads of P38 filler went on the cracks & fixing points, then loads of sanding to get close to the finished thing. Finally I couted the whole thing in liquid resin to create a un-crackable shell(hopefully!) a bit more sanding to perfection prior to painting.
Lastly I chose to make some strobe holders with a hexagon hole theme mesh grille which I'm not sure about but I can live with it for now.

Hans, your stuff is Jaw Dropping and a real inspiration.

Keep it up, can't wait to see what you come up with next, and see the car in the flesh.

Brilliant
