Default Sticky Tubby

I just bought a T25 from fleabay and it feels tight to turn, I thought I'd compare this to the standard one on my project car which seemed to be working o.k. on the drive home 3 months ago, that feels about the same? I thought it would spin quite freely? can any one tell me how freely a good condition unit should turn? It has no movement in the bearings and no damage to the turbine / compressor wheels so apart from this uncertanty it seems good????

i couldnt tell if it was ok or not without checking it first hand. What make, type, spec and miliage is on the turbo.
Unless you have filled the bearing housing with oil it wont feel as it should.

Try not to feel for play too often lol

I had one recon'd and he used an original Carbon seal which to me made it quite stiff. After questionning the rebuild I was informed it should be like that until worn in and he was right.
