S13 LSD fitted onto S12 subframe
I know peeps have transferred the inners into the S12 case but has anyone thought about welding on a bracket!.
I've currently got a spare subframe which I'm slotting for camber adjustment using some spare inner toe in bolts. If anyone has some pics and dimentions for the whole LSD diff I might have a go at welding on a bracket

It's not worth it to be honest. The problem is that the S12 diff bolts to the subframe with 4 bolts, so it acts as a rigid part of the subframe, and then the diff is consequently mounted at the rear of the car. If you were to somehow bolt it on to the subframe, you'd then have to modify the backplate to mount up. It has 4 small bolts instead of 2 very big bolts on S12, so might not be that strong and because it mounts by only 2 bolts it will flex. You'd also have to pay careful attention to the alignment of the diff so the prop shaft runs true.
The S13 diff (when on an s13) just fits inside the subframe and doesn't have any structural element to it. The subaru's use R160/180's which are basically smaller versions of the S12's R200. Because they only sit inside the subframe with no structural element they only have 2 bolts holding them on at the front rather than the 4 held on the S12. I have a pic at home of one in a subaru chassis if you want to see it.

Add the pic to the link fella. It sounds as if swopping the inners is the best idea
