Default What's going on with my turbo?

Hey guys.

I've just got the turbo out to have a look at her, and find out why she's seized solid. I have some pictures and a couple of questions for you guys.

Does that look like the standard turbo? I thought it was a Garrett model? If it is the standard model, anyone know of a good guide on how to strip it down?
I want to see if the bearings have gone, if so, i'm thinking that the oil pump may need a look at?

also here's a picture of the turbo with the wastegate open.

The bracket on the side is fouling and it means that the wastegate will only close to this:

Is that normal? Or could it have caused problems leading to the turbo becoming seized, I've thought and thought and could not think of a reason why it would...but if anyone knows different, im all ears.

Sorry for all of the questions!
