Default AHHHH sodding car!!!!!!

no wonder i never bother to work on it, everytime i do, i notice somin else that needs to be done, and its never an easy job.

T25 on and piped in running, just need to refabricate the intercooler pipe to fit.

but i noticed some wet on the power steering high pressure pipe that runs from the pump to the rack, so i wiped it dry to check when it was running, (was hoping it was just me being careless last time i filled it), but oh no, right in the middle of the rubber pipe, it has a small leak, just enough to wet the hose.

so first of all, could pirtek replace the hose on the car, and if not, how much of a bitch will it be to remove it and get it repaired???

/rant

this car better be worth the effort now it has a new turbo and will have a new PAS pipe

It will be, I've just moved mine back to my garage after a quick tidy up turned into over a week of welding!

Got a few looks after I had a quick blast around the block (private roads of course) with no wings or bumpers on it, put a smile of my face!

Keep the faith!

yay, the heap is back together and running........

but i think there is a problem, i dont think the waste gate is working, as the dash gauge shoots high when accelerating, only did it the once as soon as it went off the top of the scale part of the gauge, i backed off so not to damage anything.

is it normal for a T25 upgrade to make the exhaust sound louder??? and much more grunt?? even when off boost.

Adzs12 pipe on his ps had been repaired with a hose repair wrap kit. it worked fine and looked fine. it was like a kevler sticky bandage. No idea where that came from though.

i got mine done at pirtek, cost 47 quid, but its a permanent fix, looks nice too.

i put my T2 actuator on the turbo, and the original little pipe to make it work, it does work, its boost is a little above std, but it spikes for some reason, it never used to on the T2, just wondered if that because im using a T25 on 7 psi boost.

and still ALOT more noisey than it was with the T2, cant see why thou, using the std manifold, and S12 downpipe, and same exhaust, only difference is the turbo itself, running same boost.

strange!!!

the t25 has a larger exhaust housing than the t2 so it will not silence the exhaust as much.

I didn't think T2 actuators fitted on T25's, or am I thinking of T28's
