They always were and they allways will be good looking cars if they look fresh and in good condition. The trouble is that too many of them are looking tired now and people aren't prepared to put the money in to make them look good again.
You know you want another one Pukka |

i do yeah.
i just know that its going to cost me alot of money.........i learnt that last time. I dont know what route i would go with one either. It would probs be sr20det or rb20det. I should think about at least preparing a shell really. the evo is off the road at mo as i knackered the engine. Im rebuilding that but i am considering selling it once its complete. Im driving a mk1 fiesta at the moment lol i guess i could put the evo money into one. who knows... i need a nice solid mk2 to strip and get painted...... but i dont want to pay much for it as most of it will get scrapped

It wouldn't cost much to get a mark2 but they do seem to be going up in value at the moment so the longer you leave it the more you will pay.
Sr20 running gear is easily got as well,I have a complete sr20 conversion but unfortunately it's on the other side of the pond, and would be fairly expensive to ship I'd say. I'm thinking about building a drag s12 with it |

the sr20 is a really nice engine
i have also been thinking about doing a fd3 rx7 with a 1jz engine conversion in it. looks and reliability I dont know what to do...... i need to make the evo gd first

The sr20 is an engine that runs an alloy block with no liners and rockers in the head,it wouldn't be my first choice for a high powered car tbh. That said,I have 1 and I can get all the parts to make it quick fairly cheap so I'm considering it.
I'll probably use a head off a Sunny gtir to make it rev though. The ca18det revs more easily and has a much stronger block if you build it properly and sort the oil surge problems. I can see where you are coming from with the 1jz and a friend of mine has 1 for sale but it comes with a free soarer. The 1jz would be a lot more hastle to do and would cost more in the end I reckon. Get an s12 and if you want to I reckon you could fit a Toyota engine under the bonnet if you tried. Or you could go with an rb26 |

I'd like an SR. Not a fan of CAs, personally.

I'd like an fj20 tbh,failing that it's an rb26.
The ca if well sorted is a very good engine and revs much better than an sr. |
