Default Power supply to Fuel pump s12

I?m restoring a 1983 1.8 Turbo (s12).
I?ve got a problem with the power feed to the fuel pump.

I used an external power supply to the pump to get the car started and with this supply the engine runs fine.
The vehicles harness doesn?t have a live feed though.

I?ve checked the fuse under the dash and its fine.
I?ve check power to this fuse and its fine too.

My mate says the relay (Behind the battery) is OK

I think
? There?s either a break in the wiring
? There?s another relay (Crash relay?)
? My mate is wrong ? I don?t know how to check the relay.

Anyone provide any advice?

Thanks

John

Over the weekend, I've confirmed no second relay for the S12 and that the link between the fuse and relay is GOOD.
using a multimetre AND supplying power to the switch part of the relay proved the relay is working (my is GREEN by the way not as described in manual)
I think I've now got a wiring break and finding it difficult to decide whether to "Add" a new wire or find the break which would mean seats out carpet up plastic trim out again
etc....
