Its an early one

Its off a 1989 G 180SX S13 so one of the very first ones. Any numbers anywhere to give me a clue as I am going no further if it isn't suitable.

Took apart

Just took the end casing off, can turn shafts in opposite direction quite easily but why would it have an oil cooler on it and does an lsd look any different inside to a non lsd??

It does have an oil cooler with it so this would indicate it is a vlsd????? why would you need an oil cooler on a non lsd?

I have bought a diff from a 1989 180SX will it be an LSD and how do I tell before I start taking it to bits? I read the spec list for the cars and it said they do have a viscous LSD??? HELP !

Why not just fit a LSD

Would it not be just as good to fit an LSD then you can get the arse out and still be able to drive normally, best of both worlds. I've done a bit reading around and it seems that the S13 diff inners...
