Mk2 had a rev limiter i believe

mine has a hard line too, and that broke, all i did was cut the metal line and made up a flexy hose to do it, else you could make one with a few unions and a flaring kit, using brake pipe and unions,...

when the thurbo goes, normally you get smoke on overun, when you lift off the throttle.
