If you mean by the pull lever, the cable still seems to be attached to this, but there is no resistance when pulled.

I'll try to get the cable itself and see if that helps.

I have both of these alternators, and neither are V shaped. The pulleys about twice as wide as the V with 5 or 6 grooves across it, so would fit a wider/flatter belt.

O/D wouldn't work with a manual box, I'm not sure why, i think because it would then be a 6th gear. :confused:
