I just got a standard re-cored witha slightly thicker core its called a 302 core loads better cooling and fits in the same space just a small ammount thicker if that info is any good to you and it...

I run something similar on my road car with loads of air straight to the filter,mine is covered in alloy and not see through, love the headlight covers what are they from????:)
