Top Gear is bollocks really. Agree with Shaun, its far fetched and also rehearsed.
What its led to is some people who have watched it over the last few years thinking they now know about cars. People at work would come up to me and ask me what I think of the new Z06, and then say its a shame its has leaf springs on the rear. Its then clear that they don't know what they're talking about because although they're leaf springs its still an independant rear end, and has been independant on the corvette since the dawn of time. Its just a different type of spring for fek sake. The show has led to a new breed of people who think they are into cars. When really they know just as little as Clarkson. Clarkson actually knows shit all about cars in reality.

Top Gear is just a case of "Boys and their toys".
Pretty daft sometimes and sometimes mildly entertaining, but not to be taken seriously ![]() As Martin says, none of the presenters know anything about the mechanical side of cars. Regards, Ian.

The only one who actually has a brain is James May. The other 2 are just trying to win viewers

The Asain American car-mag scene is OK...
Don't get me wrong I love the eye candy in one of my reads, Super Street... just Jap, loud and truly mental... but they do a feature (every month) called 'Back in the Day' this months was a '74 Corolla with the orginal lump pushing 190bhp very respectable for 1200cc. The same umbrella company run a magazine called 'Project Car' and their sole aim is to build on a budget, issue one was a 180sx, the pictures, the articles and lay out were so helpful it was unreal... Swerve over... |
