rear braces stiffen it up a lot, i made one for my mk1, its in the loft, its nothing sparkling but effective.

Hi Hans,
Im not far from you at Norwich and am building a S12 similar to you for drifting and trackdays but yours looks like it is better prepared to be honest. What subframes did you use for your seats mate? I used Fiesta seats and bolted them stright to the floor! Did you make the cage? If so could you give me a the size and diamter of the pipe you used please? Cheers, Ian. |

I made the subframes up from 3mm mild steel for the bucket seats adjustable rails to bolt to.
The tube used to build my roll cage is 1.5mm thick 38mm diameter mild steel tube. It was designed and built by me at my workshop. Hope this helps? Hans. ![]() |
