Default CA18ET - Race engine build

Hi guys,
Well, my season of racing in the SS1 is nearly over and I'm looking to next year already
I want to rebuild my engine over the winter. The engine itself has been reliable (shame about the rest of the car ) but I want to give it a freshen up and add some power/torque while I'm at it.
It was dyno'd last week at 160bhp/180lbft @ 10.5psi. Current spec:
K&N filter
T25G Turbo
Lancia Delta intercooler, mounted facing down with scoop under car
2 1/2" side-exit single-box exhaust

My target figure is 240bhp, but the main things I'm after are a strong, smooth torque curve and reliability, within a reasonable budget (this is club racing, after all!).
After conferring with CNHSS1 we've drawn up a spec list that I'm happy with:
New bearings, oil pump, gaskets etc.
s13 pistons & rods
SAFC Neo
S13 injectors
Adj fuel press reg
Autosprint cam
Custom plenum welded to standard intake runners
S13 throttle body
More efficient intercooler setup

That's about it. Can anybody think of anything we've missed or that I should I consider?
Cheers, Raz

I think you may have to change your exhaust system to attain that sort of power.

The bore is not large enough and im unsure on your length and layout but possibly change that at the same time

Also if your after a decent power curve you may want to start looking at an electronic boost controller

have you thought about a bluebird 2 litre intake manifold?

looks like this and bolts straight up (provided there is room)

You'll have to cut and shut the ends round on the CA20 inlet

Yeah, good point, an EBC is on the 'desirable' list
The exhaust is going to have to stay as it is because A) it's only 2 months old and B) It only just passes noise limits for most tracks

The CA20 inlet would be good but I know how difficult they are to get hold of. Whereas I can have a custom plenum fabbed onto standard runners for free because the missus' stepdad is a welder/fabricator

Does anyone know where I can get hold of an ET rebuild manual?
Cheers, Raz

I've got a manual, can photocopy the relevent pages for you if you like. Also got a stupendous amount of spare parts that'll help you along.

I'd add an s13 main bearing crank girdle to the spec. I can sort that and mod it to not foul the sump too
