Ok sounds good i take it you mean this for front and rears?

no, for the rears, what i did before i fitted coilovers, was make 3 little z shaped tabs for each side on the front, then drilled them n bolted them to to spring cup, top of the z shape hooks over the spring and botton bolts to the cup, this stops the fronts falling out.

has anyone got any pics for how this is done? im a little unsure what you mean by description. mine failed its mot because of this also. and i have the standard springs in?

The crux of the matter is the trailing arms need to have there movement (drop) limited.
A strap of somesort is required, I've mentioned else where on here I've done similar things of other cars and used old seat belts, doubled up and burnt holes in them, super cheap and plenty strong enough. hese could be mounted on the top shock mount to the bottom shock mount. If you want some seat belts pop round I have a few spare kicking around! |

Yer please if you could take some pics. I've been to the scrap yard and I've got some bigger lower spring seat rubbers today hoping they will hold them better. Mine are not cut. I don't see how they can fail it on MOT as it's completely oem???
