I used those orange hotwire leads on my 8v engine and they deteriorated and were nackered in under 2 months. So i bought some Magnacore leads and i did notice the difference in engine performance.

As Shaun says and set the plug gaps to .9

Thats a very healthy bhp figure you have there considering. Exhaust and air filter modifications will help just as much as a boost increase

i had a set of orange hot wires too once, and everytime it rained without fail it would only run on 2 or 3 cylinders once spent a whole week on half the engine firing, sounded like an old derv......

i got some genuine nissan leads, that was 6 years ago, and they have never misfired yet. worth paying the extra money

The leads were made up by an auto electrician for me and replaced when it started missing as I thought it could be the leads. The only other thing I can think it could be the is maybe the BOV as this is an unknown type and make being on the car when I bought it and as my co2 readings are all over the place on tick over I don't know if this if faulty.
As for the exhuast and air filter they have already been changed for a cone filter and a 3 1/3 inch system straight through from the turbo. I have an intercooler fitted just need some pipe work to plumb it in now.

When I put the new coil I cleaned up where it mounts so I might try adding another earth and see what happens.
