Default S12 LSD conversion with S14 bits query

sorry to sound like a douchebag but i've found sum1 local who's breaking an S14 & will let the rear diff & drive shafts go for £90

this has been briefly discussed in other threads but can any1 please give me an idiot guide to exaxtly what i have to do to make this work

Much easier to buy an lsd thats made for a 200sx with open diff.Then it's just a bolt in setup.

Are your sure about this?
You mean LSD for an open diff R200 for 200sx s13 or s14 it's a bolt on on our R200? Never found some who made it (despite of the flange, the specs of axles).
I just want to trust you seems too good to be true.

You're best to get an LSD for an open S13 diff

Yeah but I think the S14a has a thicker shaft (the splined part that goes in the diff unit)

Yeah I would. At the end of the day if you buy a diff that is designed to be installed in an S13 case that uses the S13 open type shafts you are likely to be fine
